居合道：2018年後半の大会が無事に終了/Iai-do: 2018 Performance Convention took place

12/2（日）太田区民プラザで居合斬道大会を開催
去る2018年12月2日（日）、太田区民プラザにて『居合斬道大会 兼 平成30年冬季昇段審査会』が開催されました。今回はアメリカ支部から3名が来日して参加してくれたほか、演武者も13名と前回よりも大幅に増えて賑やかな大会になりました。
会場の設営が始まりました。
午前中の「形（かた）」の演武、昇段審査に続いて午後からは「斬り」の部に移ります。ただ自分も昇段審査を受ける身なので、ほとんど写真や映像が残せていないのが残念！せめて先生方の模範演武の一部を動画で残しておきます。
今回の大会のためにアメリカから来日してくれたS先生の斬りの演武です。アメリカではそう簡単に巻き藁用の畳表が手に入らないので、斬りの機会は貴重だそうです。
同じくS先生の「据物斬り」、技の名前は「正座飛翔斬り」になります。
こちらはF先生八段の演武。
今回はアメリカから3名の道場生が大会のために来日してくれました。カリフォルニアから参加の“マトリックス”先生、アラバマから参加してくれたMr.“シザーハンズ”、Mr.“ホーム・アローン”に心から感謝(それぞれ本名を連想できる仮名にしてあります)。僅かな日程ではありますが、日本を楽しんで帰ってください。
Performance Convention of Iai-giri at Ota-kumin Plaza, 2.December
On 2. December 2018, “Iai-giri Performance Convention and Dan promotion test 2018” took place at Ota-kumin Plaza, Tokyo. 3 guys arrived in Japan from America in the occasion and 13 people joined the contest except Senseis.
Preparation has started.
After the contest of “Kata (Forms)” in the morning session, “Kiri (Real sword cuts)” started in the afternoon. It was quite shame that I couldn’t take any pictures or movies as I took the contest as well. I show only model demonstrations by Senseis.
This is the performance by S Sensei who arrived from US.
This is “Suemono-giri (Horizontal object cut)” by same S Sensei, the technique is called “Seiza Hisho-giri”.
This is the performance by F Sensei.
In this occasion, 3 gentlemen have come to Japan from US. “Matrix” Sensei from California, Mr. “Edward Scissorhands”, and Mr. “Home Alone” from Alabama (please imagine what their real names are), we really appreciate your contribution and hope you enjoy Japan in spite of short stay.
